MY STYLE!!!

I absolutely love clothes, shoes, bags and accessories! I bet you're thinking, duh...which girl doesn't?! Fair enough! There's a world of difference between the ability to buy these items and actually being able to put them together! That's where my blog comes in, I love to put these items together, using colours, textures and patterns to create masterpieces. I do not believe that the cost of an item determines the success of it's appearance. My opinion is that it REALLY is the WAY in which you put it together, so check out how I do it, there's no harm in looking...whatever your opinion I'll be thoroughly enjoying myself putting each piece together.

A LITTLE CHILLY.

It's a sunny day, but there's a moderate breeze going, making it a little chilly! No need to bundle up, but one could certainly do with SOME covering up. The solution, my 7 piece creation.

1. THE AFGHAN SCARF

2. LONG-SLEEVED BLACK TEE
This is an essential part of my wardrobe. It is such a simple and yet versatile piece. Useful for layering and some added warmth, as I've used it with this piece. Or alone, casually, dressed up, with the sleeves down, rolled up, scrunched up or folded. You'll see more of it in pieces to come. This particular one is by American Rag available online at www.amrag.com or at Macy's, but whatever brand you purchase is up to you.

3. RED CHINESE COLLAR STYLE WAIST-COAT

This is a new edition to my wardrobe.  It's by Talbots - www.talbots.com I actually found it at City Square Thrift Store - citysq.org/thriftstore (one of my favourite stores in Dallas, Texas: shopping for a cause) for US$2.00...what a bargain!!! Thrift stores are a wonderful resource to find awesome pieces of clothing and accessories, especially if you like a vintage style look and I do.

4. Blue Denim Jeggings

"Jeggings which are styled to look like tight denim jeans".  What a great creation!  The comfort that these provide is fantastic and like faux fur can provide the illusion of perfectly fitting denim jeans.  A great piece for chilly days!

5. RED HIGH HEELED PUMPS
These scream: red, siren HOT to me...I LOVE them!

6. SOUTH AFRICAN HANDCRAFTED EARRINGS
I bought these in Cape Town, South Africa from a street vendor.  They are amongst my most treasured accessories.  I LOVE handcrafted pieces and Africa, my personal favourite destination and my home is unlimited as a resource.

7. RED GENUINE LEATHER MESSENGER STYLE BAG
The tag inside this bag says Leather Force I found a website www.leatherforce.com however it did not have any bags listed under it's product tab.  Again, I purchased this from City Square Thrift Store - citysq.org/thriftstore for US$3.99 another great bargain!

So, that's my masterpiece for a day that's "A Little Chilly".

Here's the complete ensemble:

And here is what it looked like on me:

I had an absolute blast putting this outfit together, please feel free to post comments or questions.
